Espectáculo, autoritarismo y violaciones de DDHH: la deportación de venezolanos de EEUU a El Salvador

Este trabajo analiza la acción de las autoridades estadounidenses de deportar a migrantes venezolanos a El Salvador para confinarles en un presidio de alta seguridad, desde las nociones de espectáculo y autoritarismo migratorio. A partir del análisis de textos periodísticos en medios reconocido prestigio editorial, se argumenta que las deportaciones durante el gobierno de Trump constituyeron al mismo tiempo una estrategia: 1) mediática para criminalizar la migración, generar un espectáculo con las deportaciones y vulneraciones de derechos humanos (DDHH) para influir en distintas audiencias y 2) política al desafiar los límites legales y controles judiciales para restringir y vulnerar los derechos reconocidos históricamente a los migrantes.Downloads
