Una de las características visibles de losespacios rurales en México es que no sonespacios uniformes en lo económico nien lo social. El propósito fue construir,de manera objetiva, un índice que midael grado de ruralidad de los estados ymunicipios, haciendo uso del análisismultivariado de componentes principales.Las variables que se eligieron son algunasde las características que distinguen alentorno rural del urbano. Se analizaronlas relaciones entre el índice de ruralidadcon el índice de desarrollo humano, con elíndice de marginación y con el conceptode ruralidad de inegi; en todo los casosse cumplieron las hipótesis acerca de lasrelaciones entre ellos.Downloads
