Abstract
“América Latina constituye, todavía, un enigmaa sus propios ojos. ¿Qué imagen nos devuelve elespejo? Una imagen rota. Pedazos. Pedazos desconectadosentre sí: un cuerpo mutilado, una carapor hacer. Con estas palabras iniciaba Eduardo Galeanosu intervención en el Quinto Encuentro deCiencias Sociales realizado en el marco de la FeriaInternacional del Libro de la Universidad de Guadalajara,en noviembre de 1991.
