Abstract

Este texto intenta mostrar las consecuenciasen el nivel local de los cambiospolíticos ocurridos desde hace unos 15años a raíz de la apertura política en México.La transición política no sólo abre unavía democratizadora en el país, sino que,acompañada con un proceso de descentralizaciónque transfiere presupuestosimportantes a los municipios, cambiatotalmente la manera de hacer políticaen el nivel más local. El caso de Cuquío,bastante conocido en el país, ofrece unailustración de estos cambios.
